Charleston Marathon was a success. It was great seeing everyone out there. Ricky and Greg cranked out a couple of strong marathons. Both finished in the top 20 overall. It was great yelling at them...I mean, cheering them on.
Is anyone in the group planning to run the Myrtle Beach full or half? I was just curious to know if anyone is gearing up for that one. Seems we've had representation at that event for the last few years (even when it was canceled).

Beautiful Morning!
What a great sunrise on the battery this morning. Plenty of cyclists and runners taking in the early morning urban environs. Looks like a busy race schedule coming up...Charlie Post, Folly Half, and the Messa 8K among others. Next thing you know it will be the bridge run and Swaz will be back in town!

Ok it was Cold!
Being Canadian I think I can judge coldness...it was pretty cold on the bridge Sunday morning but back in town it was not too bad. Good luck to Rickie this weekend! The Mount P group had a large turnout Sunday morning when we met them behind Teeter. Hopefully the weather will get better in the weeks to come.

Happy New Year
Hope everyone had a happy and safe new year. Now, it's time to get back down to business. Only two weeks to Riverfront Marathon. Then Charlie Post and Folly Half, all in the span of a month.
I'm nursing a post Kiawah injury, so I won't be there in the morning. Who's planning on showing up? What kind of distances are we looking at?

Merry Christmas!
Hope everyone has a safe and festive yuletide. Looking forward to seeing the new running gifts we get for the new year. Not sure how many people will make it Sunday morning (we'll be on the road). But let's remember to put a few miles in, between the feasting. We've got a host road races coming up in the new year. Happy holidays everyone.

Kiawah
Well, I was doing fine until mile 17. Must have been something in the gatorade, because no one reported feeling great or clocking a stellar performance. The weather was a bit miserable, but wasn't really the issue (I don't think). Sometimes, it just ain't there. Oh well, they can't all be gems.
The after-race food & beer was great. And it was great seeing the whole running crowd. The whole shuttle parking thing actually worked pretty smoothly, and the on-course support was pretty good. So I guess Kiawah gets a high mark (or at least a passing grade).
Not sure if I'll make it Sunday morning. If I do, it won't be for a long one. How about other folks?

Jet Lag
One week from Kiawah, and I've just come back from San Diego where I've been since Wednesday. Got in a couple of good runs, but I'm not too concerned since I've been pulling the mileage back. Now, I've got to get my clock turned around.
Congrats to Ann, who got fifth overall at a fiercely competitive Reindeer Run. Can't wait to hear from Cami on her half marathon in Palm Beach. Good luck to everyone prepping for Kiawah. I, myself, can't wait.
