More and better

We've had a couple of new folks join us the last couple of weekends. We hope that the coming spring will bring out some more runners. This past Sunday we had a group of five that went from a little over 12 all the way up to 24 (it's my last long one before Myrtle Beach). The weather cooperated with us a bit more this time. No rain and it was mostly a tail wind coming back.

Hope to see everyone on Tuesday evening.

Hi, just curious what paces you run your long runs and if everyone tends to stay together or are their different pace groups?
Thanks!

We are generally running at a pace around 8:45-9:00 min/mile. No pace groups so far, but folks occasionally run various distances-anywhere between 10-24. In other words, not everybody from the group runs the same distance every Sunday.

Right now, the variation in the distances for our long runs is largely due to our being in the midst of marathon season (some folks ran Kiawah, some will run Myrtle Beach). When spring rolls around and the races get shorter, we mostly all get back on the same 12-14 mile long run.

We generally stick together and try to keep a somewhat leisurely pace. Occasionally, some folks may try to pick it up in the last few.
